so...this is just a post seeking advice and basically an excuse to socialise with people who are on the same track as i am. So basically i have no contact with anybody who is lesbian or bisexual like myself so life is somewhat alienating - all my friends are straight and find discussing these issues boring as you could guess. I am completely new to this but at the same time i have been mulling over my sexuality for years... and this feels right ' like it just fits, even though i have never actually had a relationship/ sex with a women. I have had sex with a man nothing spesh - the idea of sex with a women is soooo much more exciting.. as i said this is something that i have seriously thought about and come to fully aknowledge my feelings. I just do not know where to go from here so i figured i need to start somehwere.. Any advice for somebody like me starting out ? Where could i go to meet fellow lesbians in Melboure ?

Heya! I'm really new to the scene as well and what makes me even more different unfortuanately is that I was born in the wrong body, in a males body, which too is something I've come to accept recently but would most defs love to make new BFF's and share this great experience, I am a lesbian so once I have made the full transition would love to meet that special girl who accept me for who I am and who I used to be ^_^

Like everyone else I'm new to the scene too hah. I find that my friends (mostly females) are 'scared' to get close to me since I told them I'm bisexual.
I'm also looking for someone to attend an event with my on ANZAC eve (24th April). If anyone is interested send me a message and we'll organise something!

I have recently moved back to melbourne from rural vic and I thought it would be easier to meet other bi/gay ppl but its really really hard! Would be awsome to meet up with some like minded people. Maybe we should organise something...coffee/drinks? Ive been to hares and hyenas a few times fir coffee with friends. Could always dovsomething like that. Send me a msg..add me on fb if you guys are interested in organising something would be cool

I'm also new to the scene, and new to Melbourne so I'm really putting myself out on a limb here. Would love to meet some cool Melbourne locals and start to make some true friendships. also I would really like a heads up on where a lesbian/gay friendly cafe is so I can have my coffee ritual somewhere I can feel at home.

Not sure what area you are from kit but pretty much any cafe in Yarraville would be great plus theres Seddon Deadly SIns in Seddon of course which is a great little cafe.

Hi Jane, firstly: a massive massive congratulations! How exciting! I ended my relationship and came out over this weekend just past, so I can totally imagine how you feel. I also don't have any lesbian friends and would be more than happy to meet up for a coffee or a beer. Happy to PM you my number if you'd like to chat
