i was with my girfriend for three years, and we broke up a few months ago. now im finding it very hard to find girls? like where do i go? doesnt help when all my friends are straight. 

It depends on your scene, Cassandrah. If you can pick up a copy of MCV or Cherrie, there is usually a good list of the happenings for the next month. Pinkalicious is good, they are doing a Mondaylicious on ANZAC if you google it, Blonde on the Rocks is coming up in May, Lick has just been.

Regular events include ladies night Thursday at Alia and Sundays at Libation. Neverwhere, Heavens Door and the Glasshouse are all nice places and do a lot of queer and mixed events.

If you're looking to go out with some gay/bi girls, check out lesfuc. And if you want to meet girls outside the club scene, Melbourne Rainbow Grrls runs regular  coffee meet ups and other events.

My friends are either straight or gay guys! But if you wanna go out and have fun then Thursday nights at a bar called barry's is pretty good ... get there before 10 though because the line can get pretty long!

Melbourne Rainbow Grrls

Melbourne Rainbow Grrls was created as there are very few events for rainbow womyn that are not held at bars. It can be very hard to meet womyn and make lasting friendships in these venues and so, MRG was created to fill this void. However the group has grown and we have changed our direction to include the occasional outing to a bar. As many of our ladies like to attend bars, but would prefer to do so with a group atmosphere.

MRG is a meet up group has a no bars policy on which type of same sex attracted woman attend our events. (Whether they be bi, transgender, lesbian and so on. All you have to do is identify as a female who is attracted to other womyn.)

We have many exciting events planned for the coming months. It will always be an open and welcoming environment where we will be able to discuss topics surrounding rainbow issues.

We have fun nights of speed dating, movie nights and lots of goodies planned as well as a games night. We have information on rainbow websites of all kinds, and heaps of information on support groups and any other help you may need.

Can’t wait to meet all the beautiful galz!
