Seriously? Do we have to wait even longer for gay marriage to be legalized? ANOTHER three years to even have a chance to get the law passed..c'mon now..What are your thoughts..

Julia's views on same sex marriage are upsetting to say the least. I was kind of hoping she was going to be a softy about it (considering she announced her disbelief in God, therefore there would be no religious driving forces).

She said in an interview "The Government’s position is very clear that marriage is marriage between a man and a woman"

This just infuriates me. I hate it when I am at a wedding and the priest announces "marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman" its so stupid.

Hasn't time progressed. I suppose we are a country heavily influence by the catholic teachings, but still, if those small, soemtimes "backwards" countries can allow it, why can't australia? One of the most developed countries in the world.

I don't want it for myself atm. I am too young to even think of marriage. I want it for all the people who have been with their partners for a majority of their lives and still cant have that important union. It just undermines those people who have lived their lives being honest and true to their partners. I want it for those men and women and for their families and children, so that their children can look at their parents as a married couple. And I will keep marching in those rallies until those people get what they rightfully deserve!
